The cottage boasts vaulted ceilings that enhance the sense of space and a large front porch welcoming guests to relax and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Inside, a well-equipped full kitchen awaits, allowing for convenient meal preparation during your stay. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, each adorned with a comfortable king-sized bed and its own en-suite bathroom, providing both privacy and comfort for all guests. Additionally, a queen sleeper sofa in the cozy living room offers extra sleeping arrangements.

The prime location along the Pedernales River offers a myriad of activities to indulge in. Launch a kayak or water float for an afternoon adventure along the tranquil river. Great weekend at the cottage. Only issue I have is that it doesn’t seem like someone actually inspects the place you will be staying in after a cleaning crew has gone through it, to actually verify that stuff was cleaned. My cottage was fairly clean minus marks on the wall and dust on a lot of the fixtures. I brought up my concerns and sent pictures and they informed me they would send a cleaning crew the next morning. They never followed up with me after to ask if I was satisfied with how they cleaned up. They did address the areas I brought to their concern but it honestly felt lazy. Their cleaning staff wiped down the dust but did it very half effort. Aside from the cleaning issues, the rest of the cottage was clean and very nice! Very private and quiet for a nice getaway from a busy life. I would definitely stay here again.

Spacious Cabin

We loved the Mimosa Cottage at River’s Edge! Upon arrival, our cabin was very clean and nice and cool from the AC! Much needed on an extremely hot day. The cabin was spacious. The kitchen had basic cookware and access to the grills was easy. We did enjoy the hot tub one of the nights and it was clean and in good condition. The location was great, close enough to Fredericksburg but also off the beaten path so it felt like we were camping! The river was probably better suited to kayaking/fishing but we did enjoy one day in our river floats. We would love to come back in the fall and enjoy the fire pits and hot tub more!

We absolutely loved everything about River’s Edge! From the modern farmhouse decor, the wonderful shower and comfortable beds, but the best part was peaceful it was. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous! We loved sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning. The private hot tub was fabulous. We will definitely be back!
 

Whimsically decorated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River's Edge cottages. The location is outside of town, but the drive to Main Street takes less than 15 minutes. The cottage was very clean, spacious, whimsically decorated, and looked almost new. The privacy fencing for the hot tub gives a view of the trees and the stars, but no view of the neighbors. There is a central pavilion with comfortable outdoor seating, a gas grill, and available family games like horseshoes and cornhole. There are hammocks in the trees and wooden swings overlooking the river. The River's Edge complex is flanked by small farms or ranchettes with sheep, goats and alpacas, so small children will enjoy seeing them while they play outside. Our stay was very, very relaxing, and we would certainly stay there again.

Great location about 15 minutes outside of town on a quiet ranch overlooking the Pedernales River. 6 cabins sharing a nice upkept common space with plenty of outdoor games, hammocks, and swings for all to enjoy. Surrounded by working ranches with roaming chickens, sheep, llamas, donkeys, wild turkey, armadillos, etc. Make sure you take your fishing pole and enjoy the tranquility.

Some friends and I booked here for my bday. What a cool spot! The cottage itself was extremely comfortable and clean. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The hot tub is a great added bonus, especially on a cold January night. The grounds were clean and accommodating. The property manager was extremely friendly and super helpful. I can't wait to book here again in the warmer weather.
 

Sooooo great!

This place was sooooo great! We stayed in the Mimosa cabin with our 2 kids and dogs. We all loved it. The girls loved playing in the hammocks and seeing all the animals. The beds were comfy and it was all just perfect! It was only about a 15 min drive to town. The restaurant recommendations in the guest book were right on- we loved having dinner at Granite House and Hill+Vine. And breakfast at Texas Sunrise was so yummy....get the banana pancakes. We went to the Rhinory vineyard and Alstadt brewery- both were pretty and fun. We like hiking so we stopped at LBJ park on the way in, and Enchanted Rock on the way out (Loop Trail allows dogs but the summit does not just heads up). Oh, and Lady Bird municipal park is pretty with a quick little hike and they have a dog park too. Would love to come back to the cottages in the summer to get in the river. Definitely hope to come back and highly recommend this place!

Very quiet, nice country view. Cottage was nicely sized and clean. Grounds were great and neighboring cottages were quiet - just note there are tiny burrs over if you wear sandals or walk the dogs. Will definitely book again.
 

Easy access

The host was prompt to respond to my questions right from the start. Easy access, very clean and has most everything you would need. This property has multiple cottages on it so read the descriptions. The BBQ grill is in a community area so you may have to plan that out if it is a busy weekend with other guests (we had the whole place to ourselves). Everything was clean and nice though. The location is very nice. Short walk to the water, wildlife, perfect sunsets, just an all around nice place to be and get away.
