While I initially had only good things to say about this place, unfortunately we ran into a scorpion issue. We saw a live one in the house and checked around for more. Under each bed we found sticky traps full of at least 15-20 scorpions. We were horrified and didn’t get much sleep. The host assured us that they treated the house for them, but I don’t understand why they would need traps if that was true and why the traps were left full for our visit. I still haven’t heard back requesting money back.

It’s exactly like the pictures online! Check in is simple, we had a cat at our porch upon arrival so not much sleep cause of his meowing. Not sure if he was just hanging out for food. Be aware of insects in your cabin…we had a scorpion in the bathroom shower and in the kitchen. Overall the place is cute but wasn’t as clean as I wish it would… found hair in the bathroom sink and shower. It’s a nice little spot to be 15 minutes away from main st.

Only complaint was issues with the gas fire pit which seems to have been neglected for a while, couldnt get it to turn on because the gas valve was stuck, and or rusted. Everything else was beautiful and amazing my family and I had a very lovely time!!!! Decor was precious and cozy, outside set up was scenic and beautiful!

The place was very private and in a nice secluded place outside of Fredericksburg. The host was responsive when dealing with an issue with our outlets. We only stayed one night but it was clean, if we return to Fredericksburg, we will return!

Instructions were sent promptly to operate gate and door before our arrival. Responded quickly to concerns we had and solved them efficiently. Staff was friendly and courteous. Bed was comfy, nice amenities. Highly recommend this location for the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. A pleasant stay in a beautiful place.
